Nan's Beginning
Full Name: Mary Veronica WEEDING
Maiden Name: Limbrick
Age: 90 years
Occupution: War Widow.
Nan was born in Tasmania and went to school at Sacred Heart College. She is picutred here at the age of seven in the dress she wore at her First Holy Communion.
At Age Nine
At age nine, Nan had younger siblings and the family to help raise. She did exceptionally well at school and wished to be a teacher. Sadly, her dreams did not come true and she instead went to work at Cadbury's.
This wasn't necessarily the terrible thing first imagined, it was at Cadbury's that Nan met Thomas Frederick Weeding, her husband of nearly 50 years!
The Lady
Nan was a beautiful woman, who had a head for business. She converted her academic abilities into practical skills through hard work and tenancity.
I'm not sure when this one was taken but it is beautiful and must have been around the time of her wedding.
The Marriage
Nan and Pop were for many of us grand kids, the people to be with. They both enjoyed working together and also spent their leisure time together, often blending the two. Never were we turned away, there was always a seat in the car and a bed at the shack. Even if we did live in borrowed clothes!
90th Birthday
It's Nan's 90th Birthday this year and we are arranging a surprise celebration for her.
This is the invitation that was developed for the occasion as both a momento and details of the event.
Five Generations
It's so nice to be able to celebrate this milestone with Nan - five generations!
