Knowledge Garden has been great for two reasons.

First of all, its been a fun way to learn a new technology, and have a reason to 'play'. Secondly, its been very useful to have a 'one stop shop' where I can browse the contributions of my peers...in some cases, I found useful material for my assignment, and in others, I was just very interested in their thoughts and opinions.

I particularly like the fact that it is so easy to create a new page, and to connect my own page to others. It’s a Web of Knowledge!

It allows me to connect with others in the class in a different way than in the more formal WebCT environment, and I am hoping it will be a resource that is available even after the course has formally concluded.

What aspect I particularly like: A blog is a very flexible modality. It's really just an open journal that can be taken in any direction. A blog adds to the discussion. I like being able to find and contribute to things I am interested in, and it helps me filter information.

Having completed my studies on the Education Technology program with USQ, I see knowledgeGarden as a means of staying current with Ed Tech. At times the UAE can seem isolated from what is going on in Education worldwide, I envisage that Knowledge Garden will reduce that isolation. I also hope that it will give me the opportunity to share my own experiences of studying about/teaching with Ed Tech.
