You recently bought a CD player is a shop in your town but it does not work properly. When you phoned the shop to talk about the problem, the shop assistant was rude and unhelpful. Write to the manager of the shop to complain about what happened. Ask for your money back.
On Saturday 5th March, I bought a Sony Elite CD player from your shop in High Street. I want to inform you of the problems that have occurred since then.
The player worked well when I tried it in the shop. However, when I got home, the player would not work properly. The sound quality was not good and I could not hear the music clearly. To make matters worse, it damaged some of my CDs because the door would not open.
What is more, when I phoned the shop to ask for help, your shop assistant would not help me and he was very rude. He refused to tell me his name when I asked.
I expect a full refund for the CD player, and I demand an apology from the member of staff who was so rude to me. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I intend to take this further. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Dear Mr Smythe,
I am writing to complain about a holiday that you booked for me. My two friends and I stayed at Sunshine Beach Resort in Marbella from 5 th to 19 th May. The holiday was not what we expected.
The first problem happened at the airport when we realised that there was no coach waiting for us. Your brochure said that this would be included in the cost of the holiday. To make matters worse, the taxi that we had to take from the airport to get to our hotel was the most expensive taxi I have ever been in.
A second problem concerned the location of the hotel. It was miles from the beach, and we had to walk most of the time because, as I said, the taxis were too expensive.
There were also problems with the hotel. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how small the room was. There just wasn't enough space for the three of us. To add insult to injury, the hotel did not provide any clean towels for the whole two weeks of the holiday.
My final complaint concerns the noisy and crowded resort. You described the resort as quiet when I booked the holiday. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that the beach and all the restaurants were crowded with noisy teenagers and families with young children.
I expect some form of compensation for the distress I suffered and I hope you can offer some explanation as to why the holiday was not what you promised.
